Robin C. Johnson Blake

Robin Johnson Blake has dedicated over 32 years in school outreach, dual enrollment, recruitment and community services throughout the state of Florida.  Robin is currently retired.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Palm Beach State College (PBSC) and Florida Atlantic University (FAU).   Robin has held multiple titles during her career. She was the first assistant director for Minority Recruitment (FAU), first director of Outreach Services/Recruitment, first director of Recruitment and Dual Enrollment, and the first director of Community Relations (PBSC).  Other positions she held was Admission Counselor (FAU) and Counselor        (PBSC).

 

In those positions, Robin provided leadership within the organization and the community publicly representing the college, with external agencies/businesses to enhance the college brand.  She was honored to serve on the Achieve Palm Beach County, Action Alliance for Mental Health, Homeless and Housing Alliance, Boynton Beach Tourism Task Force, Chamber of Commerce special events, Church Community Outreach, Civil organizations, Bridges, Lake Park Diversity Council, Delray Teen Leadership, Community Roundtable committees, etc.   

 

During her tenure at PBSC, she:

  • Managed and led community forums that related to the needs and concern of the community.

  • Coordinated and worked in partnership on special events and projects.

  • Worked with various socioeconomic diverse populations throughout communities, middle and high schools in Florida.

  • Directed, budgeted, and managed nine local, private, state, and federal grant programs.

 

Robin received her Master of Science in Counseling and Guidance from Jacksonville State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Rehabilitation for the Deaf from Talladega College.

She is the wife of Charles Blake, the mother of Alexis and Evan Johnson, and a proud grandmother of two granddaughters, Ciara and Legaci.

The Heroes Foundation of America is a nonprofit organization founded on the belief that an educated citizenry is vital to a thriving community and economy. The foundation offers scholarship opportunities for post-secondary and vocational programs, as well as support services for GED students and recent graduates of adult education programs in the School District of Palm Beach County, helping those who lack the financial means to achieve their educational goals.
