Helen Ott / Co-Chairman

10 years of experience as a workforce development professional managing numerous programs such as matching talent to local employers, developed and implemented the ticket to work and disability program gaining recognition nationwide for putting individuals back to work.  Oversaw the Veterans Unit and reorganizing the unit to provide business outreach to employ more disabled veterans.   Provided community outreach developing long lasting relationships.

Previous employment included: owning her own personnel placement company, managing the outplacement for FPL through a third party vendor.  Helen was employed by Florida Power & Light for 21 years in various departments including:  Labor Relations, Accounting, Workman’s Compensation and Power Delivery.  

 

She held a Senior Marketing position with AT&T where she developed a retention program that was implemented across the country retaining over $400M dollars from existing AT&T.  She won the AT&T Circle of Excellence Award eight months after she was employed.    Attended Palm Beach State College and a Graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County Class of 2017.

The Heroes Foundation of America is a nonprofit organization founded on the belief that an educated citizenry is vital to a thriving community and economy. The foundation offers scholarship opportunities for post-secondary and vocational programs, as well as support services for GED students and recent graduates of adult education programs in the School District of Palm Beach County, helping those who lack the financial means to achieve their educational goals.
